ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BOHOL

Bohol Day TourBohol with its tropical waters and dive sites is certainly among the most popular destinations in the country.  The place is also rich in culture and heritage, with artifact designs reflecting those during the Ming Dynasty.  Touring Bohol will always be a worthwhile experience, as it abounds with varied sights to see: heritage destinations, eco-tour destinations and resort destinations stud the island paradise.  Perhaps those that have put Bohol in the limelight are the world-famous Chocolate Hills, the Tarsier, the old churches and belfries dating back during the Spanish era and the pristine beaches of Panglao, among others.  Bohol is easily accessible by plane via Manila or fast craft via Cebu.

YOU'VE BEEN TO BOHOL ONLY WHEN YOU'VE BEEN TO...

Bohol Day TourChocolate Hills.  1,268 cone-shaped hills are scattered across three municipalities in Bohol: Carmen, Batuan and Sagbayan.  The hills are covered in green grass during the rainy season, but they turn into brown during the summer.  While traveling to Chocolate Hills, enjoy the coolness as you pass through Loboc man-made forest.

Tarsier Encounters.
Also known as the midget monkey, the Tarsier measures 4 to 5 inches tall and has a tail that is longer than its body.  Get a chance to feed the world’ smallest primate and don’t forget to take a picture while doing so!

Loboc and Loay Rivers.  A boat cruise along either rivers will take you to a picture-perfect scene of serene waters and lush, palm-fringed banks.   If you go for the Loboc cruise, your journey ends at Tontonan falls.  By night, Loboc transforms into an attractive sight, with lights making the place colorful and lively.  If you go for the Loay cruise, get to visit an Aeta settlement.  By night, the Loay cruise becomes enchanting and romantic as you get to view fireflies over the palms and the trees.

Panglao Island.  Get a tan by sunbathing in the pristine white-sand beaches of Panglao or by dipping in its crystal-clear blue waters.  Panglao has three major beaches, each littered with resorts you can relax in: Alona, Bolod and Doljo.

Other places to see.  When in Bohol, do not forget to visit the following as well: Blood Compact Shrine, Baclayon and Dauis churches.  You may want to go diving or snorkeling in Balicasag and Pamilacan islands as well.
