Cagayan de Oro is an interesting destination to visit when in the Philippines. It’s laid back lifestyle makes for a good jump off point to special interest tours and activities around the area. One can opt to do the standard city tour around Cagayan de Oro, and cap off the day with a hearty dinner at any of the restaurants in Centrio Mall. Other than that, there are specialty restaurants in Cagayan de Oro which serve unique items in their menu like crocodile sisig or ostrich salpicao.
From Cagayan de Oro, one can go to Bukidon to try the ziplines at Dahilayan. Iligan is also an option to visit when in CDO if one wants to see the famous Maria Cristina Falls and the ancestral home of past Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. To date however, the most popular province to visit when in Cagayan de Oro is nearby Camiguin.

CDO Tour Package #2: 3D2N CDO ADVENTURE TOUR PACKAGE (DAHILAYAN + WHITE WATER RAFTING
This is the ultimate adventure tour when in Cagayan de Oro. Be sure to book an early flight from Manila to Cagayan de Oro or Cebu to Cagayan de Oro.
Day 1 – Upon arrival at the new Laguindingan airport, proceed to Bukidnon to conquer the three ziplines and enjoy other activities at the park. Normally, visitors to Dahilayan take their lunch at the park as well. For those who finish early, they can return to CDO City to have lunch at any of the CDO restaurants before proceeding to check-in at any of the CDO Hotel the travel agency offers. Afternoon and night will be free-and-easy to explore the city.
Day 2 – This is the day of reckoning! For the scaredy-cats, it’s a time to conquer their fees and for the adrenalin junkies, this White Water Rafting Tour in Cagayan de Oro is something worth remembering. The tour is ideal for big groups, normally a minimum of 5. Our travel agency offers the basic CDO whitewater rafting package, but for the more experienced groups, do let us know as we can also provide advanced CDO whitewater rafting courses.
Day 3 – Departure from CDO. Next time you visit the area, do consider visiting Camiguin from CDO or Iligan from CDO. It will be our pleasure to show you around.
CDO Tour Package #3: 3D2N CDO WITH BUKIDNON PLUS (DAHILAYAN + DEL MONTE PLANTATION)
Day 2 – Maximize your time in Bukidnon. After adrenalin-pumping activities at Dahilayan, head on over to one of the world’s largest pineapple plantations. If there is time, have a heart lunch at the Del Monte Club House, which highlights succulent steaks and fresh juices. If your flight to Cagayan de Oro arrives early morning on Day 1, you can shift the tour and have it upon arrival so you can free up your 2nd day with other activities like White Water Rafting, or a Day Trip to Iligan.
CDO Tour Package #4: 3D2N CDO WITH ILIGAN DAY TOUR
Days 1 and 3 – Free and easy in the City of Golden Friendship.
Day 2 – Travel 90KM from Cagayan de Oro to get loads of fun in Iligan. Iligan is not want of waterfalls. Have your fill at the Maria Cristina Falls, Tinago Falls and Mimbalot Falls. You can also have a glimpse of history as you visit the ancestral home of former Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. When you go around, don’t forget to shop for Cheding’s Peanuts, which is the number one souvenir to get when coming from Iligan. Other spots to visit are the Timoga Cold Spring and the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel.
Day 1 – Pick-up from CDO Laguindingan Airport, drop-off to hotel in the city. Standard check-in time is at 1400H. If reaching early, it will be optional for the group to go to Dahilayan in Bukidnon for the zipline activity. Overnight in CDO Hotel
Day 2 – Drive to Balingoan port, located 1hour away from Cagayan de Oro City. Take 1 hour ferry from Balingoan to Benoni port in Camiguin. Upon reaching, proceed to do the Camiguin Countryside Tour. Spots to visit when in Camiguin, during Camiguin Countryside Tour: J&A Fish Pen, Taguines Lagoon Zipline, Katibawasan Falls, Sunken Cemetery, Ostrich Farm, Old Vulcan Walkway, Church Ruins, Soda Water Pool, Sto. Nino Cold Spring, Ardent Hotspring Overnight in Camiguin Resort.
Day 3 – Time to go Island Hopping in Camiguin. The most popular spot is White Island, which is a sandbar which may be reached through a pumpboat (outrigger). Those who are trying to catch a trip back to CDO must leave early. However, it is suggested that pax allocate an entire day so they can also visit Mantigue Island and the Giant Clam Sanctuary before heading back to Cagayan de Oro. Depending on flight details on Day 4, the group can decide whether to spend another night in Camiguin or head to CDO in the afternoon.
