Recently, we got a call from a kind-hearted soul who told us we may have a Facebook page trying to fraudulently post as us. Upon checking, we were shocked that there indeed was a page and it took pains to mimic page—although not quite.
THIS IS A REMINDER TO ONLY TRANSACT WITH TRAVEL CLUB BY GREEN EARTH TOURS AND TRAVEL.
Any transactions not done via our Facebook page, our email address and our website will not be honored and we will not accept any liability for those who do not heed this warning.

The owner of the fake page has the gall to assert its “legitimacy” by lifting an old blog post where we shared our DOT-accreditation for 2016 and they further say they have been in business since 2016.
Two reasons why this is wrong:
1. We started way earlier than that.
2. The Department of Tourism (DOT) actual REGULARLY renews our accreditation. It used to be yearly, but now they do it twice a year. EVERY TIME the DOT renews, there would be something new in the text and design of the certificate.
We tried messaging the Fake page and they even flaunt the certificates and say one can verify on our website. (The gall, again :))
Their address on their profile is our old address BEFORE the pandemic but when we messaged them, they inidcated our current address already.
OUR PAGE WAS CREATED 2008. THE FAKE PAGE WAS CREATED 2024 AND CHANGED NAMES SEVERAL TIMES.
Our real facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TravelClubGETTI never changed names since its creation. The fake page https://www.facebook.com/FamiliaBookings posing as Green Earth Tours and Travel was created last March 2024

Nowadays, anyone can create Facebook pages and other social media accounts on the fly. It is unfortunate that shady people and enterprises try to pose as legitimate businesses in order to scam you and take your hard-earned money. It is important to check when these were created, if they changed handles/social media names over the past years and month.
When you find fraudulent pages, please be kind enough to tell the real owners and to report to Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and other platforms the fake ones.
